Theatre West Announces Season Auditions
Theatre West will hold auditions for local actors, singers, and dancers on March 23 for the Summer 2024 season. All principal roles, supporting cast, and ensemble are available for the mainstage shows, THE LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS, THE PLAY THAT GOES WRONG and DISNEY’S HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME.
Rehearsals for THE LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS May 20 and THE PLAY THAT GOES WRONG will begin June 1. LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS closes June 15 and THE PLAY THAT GOES WRONG will close on July 7. HUNCHBACK chorus rehearsals begin June 20 and the show will close on July 26.
Audition registration will begin at 12:30 on March 23 and continue until 3 p.m. in the lobby of the Judy Chaloupka Theater on the WNCC campus. Auditions begin at 1 p.m. and will continue until everyone has been seen.
Actors and singers should prepare a song or an excerpt of a song from a musical that shows their abilities. Please bring sheet music to your audition; an accompanist is provided. Dancers should prepare a short routine to music of their choosing. You may be asked to read a brief excerpt from one of the shows, which will be provided to you at the audition.
