SCOTTSBLUFF—Theatre West Summer Repertory will present its annual performance of Broadway in the Bluffs via live streaming video from the Judy Chaloupka Theater on the campus of Western Nebraska Community College. The event is Theatre West’s major fundraiser of the year, featuring local singers performing favorite show tunes with Maren Chaloupka at the piano.
“This is a live, one-night-only event,” said Patrick Newell, Theatre West’s Artistic Director. “The performers will be singing as you watch from your laptop or phone.”
Newell said the event is a free gift to the community, streaming through Theatre West’s Facebook page and on the website at twneb.com. The show will be at 7:30 p.m. on February 6th.
Also known as the Chocolate Fundraiser, those who donate $50 or more to Theatre West by February 4th will receive a gift of a box of four chocolates made by The Bread Doctor, available for pickup or delivery on February 6th. Donations can be made through Theatre West’s Facebook page (click on the “Shop Now” button), or by calling the Theatre West office at (308) 635-6794.
The program will be about an hour long and will feature songs such as “You’ll be Back” from Hamilton, “Defying Gravity” from Wicked, and “This Is the Moment” from Jekyll and Hyde.
