THEATRE WEST SEEKS A MUSICAL DIRECTOR FOR THE 2024 SUMMER SEASON
For each musical presented during the season, the Musical Director is responsible for teaching the music to the actors and instrumentalists, maintaining the musical integrity of the show (including changes) through rehearsals and performances. The Musical Director may conduct the shows from the stage or remote orchestra pit, hiring of all orchestra personnel, overseeing that all musical instruments needed for the shows are obtained and in good working order, supervising and approving the subs in the pit.
Requirements for consideration: Associate’s degree in Theatre from an accredited college or university with coursework in technical operations/theatre equipment; Five (5) years’ of progressively responsible technical production experience; Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
